Jacob Underwood

Jacob UnderwoodM.S. Student

My journey into the world of Entomology began when I was six years old. I read a picture book about insects and was hooked. I would routinely get in trouble on the playground because I was looking for bugs and getting dirty. This continued to evolve into an appreciation for the vast diversity of nature. My journey has now brought me to ticks, and how they interact with their hosts and pathogens.

While I’m not engaged in my studies and research, I enjoy gardening and hiking, both of which allow me to truly appreciate everything nature has to offer.
